NOTE: Must provide proof of a current AHA BLS certification card to attend this class. 

This recertification course is for licensed or nonlicensed healthcare providers whose certification card has not expired.  The course can be completed in 1.5 - 2 hours. The Renewal BLS course includes review, exam, practice, and hands-on skills testing on the following:

• Adult and Pediatric CPR
• Foreign body airway obstruction in conscious and unconscious patients
• Two-rescuer scenarios with the use of a barrier protection (pocket mask) and a bag valve mask ventilation (BVM)
• Use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Students will receive the BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card good for 2 years. 

1.     Once the payment is made, course confirmation and instructions for the course are emailed. 

2.     The PPE materials and equipment are provided.  Dress comfortably for the hands-on skills test.  

3.     Student manuals are available in print/ebook format at www.shopcpr.heart.org/product-type.

4.     After course completion an American Heart BLS CPR eCard will be email within 24-36 hours.

HEALTH & SAFETY PRECAUSIONS: Our courses are conducted by an AHA instructor and meaures are taken to help reduce health risk. Wearing a face mask during class is optional.
